Nearing graduation, Passerelles Numériques Cambodia’s (PNC) students are looking for job opportunities and precious advices. The Career Forum 2016, organised on September 24, on the PNC Campus, was an amazing chance for them to fulfil these goals.

This 3rd edition gathered 500 people among which 13 VIP Guests, 22 exhibitors, 250 students and staff, 4 local TV/newspapers and about 200 external visitors such as students from other universities.

An opening ceremony led by H.E Dr. IM Koch, Secretary of state of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Ms. Leonie Lethbridge CEO of ANZ Royal Bank Ltd. and Mr John Munger PNC’s General Manager, launched the event in a warm and inspiring way.

A much awaited event

The PNC Career Forum is a yearly event and a great opportunity to create contacts between students, graduates and companies. It allows businesses to promote their activity, demonstrate the benefits of employment and screen potential candidates who could join their teams. Current and former students gain practical information and advice from professionals as well as recruitment opportunities.

Finally, it is for PN Cambodia an ideal moment to strengthen its relation with partner companies.

The Career Forum is one of PNC’s many networking, partnership and job research activities provided by our dedicated External Relations team all along the 2-years training. This year, beyond welcoming our students we wanted to expend and gather young professionals from other schools and University in the Phnom Penh province” says John Munger, PNC’s General Manager.

An enlightening experience!

In addition to the company booths, students and alumni also had the opportunity to learn from successful professionals by attending the 5 conferences of the day.  PNC was fortunate to welcome well-known Cambodian businessmen who came to share about their experience, while giving inspiring and motivating talks on various topics. Leadership, confidence, commitment and achievement were at the heart of the following workshops: “Meet my Idols”, “Key successes in business”, “Key to be a champion in the company” and “I Love my job”.

“Leadership plays a pivotal role in today’s rapidly changing world where you easily find what you did so well yesterday become obsolete tomorrow. I believe PNC Career Forum is a valuable playground for leaders to gather, share experiences, as well as learning from each other and for the students to learn, adapt and best practices to form their own leadership style” said Mr Dararith Lim, Country Leader/Marketing Development Director of General Electric (GE) in Cambodia and guest speaker from the conference “How to transform yourself to be an effective leader”

 Some promising results!

Once again, PNC’s Career forum was a great success. 25% of the surveyed companies planed to conduct interviews in the next few days, and 50% to shortlist our students. No sooner said than done! Following this event, dozens of PNC students got an interview and several found a job among the exhibiting companies!

We are very thankful to all our partners and guests who contributed to the success of the 3rd PNC Career Forum and wishing good luck to PNC Class 2016 for their burgeoning career !
