Context and results
Passerelles numériques has created its youngest school in Vietnam in 2010 to fill this gap.
PN choose to launch its new program in the city of Da Nang after conducting a market study in 2009 in collaboration with the NGO East Meet West.
The main outcomes of this study were:
- Da Nang is in the top 3 cities concerning IT government application readiness and IT application, together with HCM City and Hanoi.
- Da Nang is one of the most advanced markets in applying IT in the government, followed by Dong Thap in the Mekong Delta and the northern port city of Hai Phong.
- Growing demand for digital infrastructure projects in segments such as banking, telecoms, energy and government has attracted global IT services providers to invest more in Vietnam.

Testimonial
Ms. Bui Thi Hau, will be graduated in 2013
“In September 2011, I was selected with 5 other students to go to Nguyen Thai Binh and Thai Phien high schools in Thang Binh district (Quang Nam province) to install computers for the schools. This is all part of PN project A new life for old laptops : PN got some used or damaged laptops from companies that do not use them anymore. Students fix and reconfigure the laptops and finally PN donates them to some schools situated in poor areas. I was very proud to take part in a project with such a worthy purpose.”
