Khmer New Year Celebration at PNC
On April 9th, Passerelles Numériques Cambodia (PNC) came alive with the joyful spirit of Sangkran, as students, staff, and partners gathered to celebrate Khmer New Year in a vibrant atmosphere of unity and tradition.
We were delighted to welcome our PNC Ambassador, Sydney Marith, who joined the celebration and enthusiastically took part in the cake-making activity alongside our students. Her presence added to the spirit of togetherness, as she embraced the culture and connected with the community through this shared experience.
Embracing Tradition Through Shared Experiences
One of the highlights of the day was the traditional Khmer cake-making activity. Students and staff gathered to prepare and learn the art of making these beloved treats, sharing knowledge, stories, and smiles along the way. The activity created a space where tradition was not only preserved, but also experienced collectively.
From the early hours of the day, the campus was filled with excitement and laughter. This special occasion was not only a celebration of the New Year, but also a meaningful opportunity for the PNC community to come together, reconnect with Cambodian traditions, and strengthen the bonds that unite us.
A Celebration of Talent and Joy
As the day continued, the campus transformed into a lively stage filled with music and movement. Students showcased their talents through dancing and singing performances, bringing energy and excitement to the celebration. Each performance reflected not only creativity and confidence, but also the vibrant spirit of youth at PNC.
These moments of expression highlighted the importance of creating spaces where students can shine beyond the classroom—building confidence, celebrating identity, and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
