In October every year, an integration week is organised by the PN Cambodia Education Team to welcome the new students, who come from different provinces, and to prepare them for their PN journey.

After 8 months of a fair and rigorous Selection Process in 10 provinces around the country, 75 new students (44 girls & 31 boys) were selected to join the 2020 class at PN Cambodia. The Integration Week aims to build relationships between staff and students, create and promote team spirit, help new students understand PN values, mission and vision, as well as to tell them about all the rules/regulations during their 2-year journey.

Upon their arrival, PN Cambodia’s staff took their time to warmly welcome the students and their relatives at the Phnom Penh railway station and drive all of them to the PNC centre. Many students brought bicycles, sleeping kit, kitchen utensils and other necessary things for their daily lives. Amongst new students, some of them had never been to Phnom Penh or lived so far away from their families. So, some of them were a little nervous about their new lives. On the same day, students were invited to register, visit the centre, receive a PNC T-shirt and have their official photo taken by our Education team. At the centre, students and families were excited to meet PNC staff and teachers and especially to discover the whole establishment.

After visiting the centre, we took them to the dormitories located about 2 kms away from the campus. They discovered the place and the 43 brand new bunk beds, which create a better living environment.

The following day, all the students got up early and joined presentation sessions in the centre with our new General Manager, Ms Eléonore Iriart and Managers of all departments to hear general information about PN and get to know each other.  In the afternoon, all students and staff left for Sre Ampil, in Kandal province for a 3-day camping activity.

At Sre Ampil, together with the staff, the students enjoyed a lot of fun games and activities based on our core values: trust, responsibility, solidarity, respect and a demanding approach:  team building games, sports, group talks, debates, a Talent Show (PNC’s Got Talent), and other community activities. The last day of Integration Week was an Introduction Day to explain the duties and processes in each department.

We are happy and proud of those new students who left everything behind to join the PN Family to take a big step forward to a better future.
